Arm Lift or Brachioplasty

Arm lift is a procedure performed to tighten the "waggle" on the back of the arms. This can result after weight loss or be a result of heredity. After every attempt to exercise away this area results in "no results", the excess skin is surgically removed. It does leave a scar up the back of the arm and we make every attempt to conceal the scar with appropriate placement and the scar will fade over a years time. There is however, still a visible scar. Even so, the results are very dramatic and my patients have been very happy with their results. As one patient put it, "yes, I have a scar that can be seen in short sleeves, but the scar is great compared to my "wings". Before I couldn't even wear a turtleneck sweater-you could still see the big bulges."
